A new wave of ocean action: Our partnership with Coral Vita
We’re excited to announce our partnership with Coral Vita , a pioneering organisation working to restore coral reefs and protect the ocean’s most vital ecosystems — and we’re proud to support their reef restoration projects to tackle the ocean crisis.
Why is this happening?
The backbone of our work at Ocean Bottle is breaking one of the ocean’s biggest problems: plastic. In 2024, we funded the collection of over 8 million kilograms of plastic from entering the ocean, and we directly supported more than 7,900 waste collectors around the world.
But we want to take it further.
We love the ocean, and we know that protecting it means going beyond plastic. Ocean health is complex — it’s about tackling climate change, restoring biodiversity, and safeguarding vital ecosystems like coral reefs.
That’s why we defend the ocean in every way we can.
On the frontlines of the crisis
Coral reefs are some of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet — they support 25 percent of all marine life, protect coastlines from storms, and power local economies through fishing and tourism.
But they are under threat: Warming ocean temperatures, coral bleaching, overfishing, and pollution have threatened the collapse of these vital ecosystems. Half of the world’s coral reefs have already died, and over 90 percent are projected to disappear by 2050.
That’s why Ocean Bottle is partnering with Coral Vita, based in the Bahamas, who are revolutionising reef restoration through innovative on-land farms that grow coral in months and years instead of decades and centuries.
They then out-plant these resilient corals into threatened reefs, reviving ecosystems and scaling global impact.
But Coral Vita is not just restoring reefs, they’re building a new, long-term model for ocean restoration. Working with scientists, policymakers and local communities, they use these innovative coral farming techniques to revive reef systems — scaling impact and driving systemic change in ocean restoration.
Turning the tide together
Ocean Bottle is proud to partner with Coral Vita. This partnership launches alongside our new Coral Collection — a bold celebration of the vibrancy that Coral Vita brings back to the ocean floor, and a daily reminder that we can all be part of the solution.
Ocean Bottle are supporting Coral Vita through a donation to fund vital restoration projects, supporting their team with bottles and have created a limited edition bottle engraved with Coral Vita branding, only available on the Coral Vita site soon.
Partnering with like-minded, purpose-driven organisations amplifies our collective impact. Working with Coral Vita allows us to support regeneration at every level — from reef to coastline to community.
This partnership represents a shared belief that longterm, integrated solutions are the only way forward.
By joining forces, we’re not just removing plastic, we’re helping to restore the colour, life, and magic of the ocean.
