Since launching in January 2019 Ocean Bottle has shipped 54,000 units out into the world. We have had orders from large corporates, fashion labels, NGOs, celebrities, conferences and other brand partners and have shipped out our product directly to individuals in 88 countries solely via word of mouth and organic media. As Ocean Bottle enters our next chapter of growth our team is looking for a highly creative, progressive and experienced leader to take the brand to the next level. By 2025 our goal is to fund collection equivalent to 7 billion plastic bottles from entering the ocean.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Senior Growth Manager who will be responsible for delivering a world class growth marketing strategy. This is a one of a kind opportunity for an experienced marketer who wants to use business as a force for good and a love of growth marketing to grow our D2C sales - putting us on the map as the only ocean saving ecom brand worth knowing. Our belief is that we need to invest in earned media to punch above our weight in spend and drive awareness in a crowded category but that if we want to lead we have to deliver on a slick, attribution-led, CX focused strategy.
We want someone who has helped grow an ecommerce company to multi million dollar revenue, but who also understands the importance of building a long term brand and preserving customer lifetime value.
You thrive with autonomy and enjoy both seizing and creating opportunities where they may not have existed in the first place. No challenge is too big or too small. You are data driven, have strong experience working with digital marketing in house and with agencies. Whilst you are happy to work on the details and won’t mind getting scrappy as we build, you are also a strong manager and capable of hiring to build a team around you. You are a team player, open minded and want to explore crazy ideas knowing what and how to test. This is an ideal role for a sales-oriented leader. The responsibility is broad, and so are the freedom and resources available. At the start you'll be working on quick fixes that will help us optimise current strategies and site conversion, whilst at the same time digesting business objectives, customer data and the competitive set to create your own strategy for growth. Youll then seek to test and optimise different growth approaches creating new campaigns and continuously contributing ideas that deliver growth for the company. The next 18 months will see us shift towards a unique, D2C-led strategy with you at the helm.

WHAT WE NEED
- Senior Growth management experience, Ecommerce Lead or Growth Lead
- A strong track record of success and understanding of the European consumer, retail and marketing landscape
- 5-8 years working in marketing with D2C experience
- Deep understanding of performance and appreciation for brand marketing channels
- Extensive experience with paid media growth strategies
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with Product and Creative teams to create coherent and compelling narratives across touchpoints
- Unafraid to get your hands dirty in the weeds of development, you'll be building from scratch and will need to be passionate and up for getting into the weeds
- An appetite for building your own team, process & strategy and working directly with teh Founders
- A strong dash of ambition (without any BS)
- An urge to initiate and act on your own strategies and take comfort with ambiguity

26 days paid holiday (25 days, plus an extra day off on your birthday because who wants to work on their birthday). We close the office for two weeks over Christmas because who wants to work over Christmas.
Permanent or Permalance considered. We suggest a 3 month contract initially to check the chemistry is right.
Regular team social events, work at Shoreditch house every Monday and team trips (in February the whole team went to Bali for 3 weeks). While we’re still small we want to make the most of company weeks away and days spent at home or in different places.
